# How the app counts an order

> Which orders count as influenced by the cart, what each amount includes, and how orders are tagged in your admin.

The app reads every new order and counts it only when the cart clearly had a hand in it. These rules are the same for Analytics and for the Free plan's monthly allowance.

## Which orders count

An order counts as influenced when it includes:

- a product a shopper added from the cart's offers, or
- a free gift the cart added.

Orders the cart did not touch are not counted, however many you take.

## What the amounts include

- **Upsell revenue** is what the shopper paid for products added from the offers, after the offer's own discount.
- **Total order value** and **Average order value** use the order's subtotal: its products after discounts, before shipping and tax.
- Cancelled orders and fully refunded orders are left out of every figure. An order refunded in part still counts.

## Tags on your orders

Each influenced order is tagged in your Shopify admin, so you can filter for them on your **Orders** page:

- **Attravo Cart** on every influenced order;
- **Attravo Upsell** when it includes an offer product;
- **Attravo Gift** when it includes a free gift;
- **Attravo Discount** when one of the app's discounts was applied.

## Good to know

- Figures update within minutes of each order.
- Amounts are in your store's currency.
