# Reward customers with a code for next time

> Give every order the cart influenced its own single-use code for a percentage off the customer's next order.

A thank-you code gives a customer a reason to come back. On Pro, the app creates a unique code for each order the cart influenced and puts it on the order, so you can send it in your order emails.

## Turn it on

1. On **Cart settings**, open **Returning-customer reward**.
2. Turn on **Reward customers after a cart order**.
3. Set **Percent off their next order**.

4. Select **Save**.

## How the codes work

- One code is created per order the cart influenced, in the form `THANKS-` followed by eight letters and numbers.
- Each code is single-use, one per customer, and expires 60 days after it is created.
- The code is added to the order as a tag and in the order's note, so you can find it on the order and pass it on.
- Codes are listed under **Your codes** in **Discounts** on Cart settings, marked **Reward**, and the newest appear under **Thank-you codes** on **Analytics**.
