How quiz sales are counted
How an order is linked to a quiz, what the attribution pixel adds, and how quiz orders are tagged in Shopify.

A quiz gets credit for an order only when Shopify's own record of the order shows it came from the quiz. Your numbers stay honest, and you can find every quiz order in your Shopify admin.
How an order is linked to a quiz
When a shopper uses the results button, the quiz adds the products to the cart and marks the cart with the quiz. An order then counts for a quiz when:
- Its cart carries the quiz. Most quiz orders are linked this way.
- It uses the quiz's discount code. Some express checkouts start a fresh cart and lose the mark; the quiz's code still links the order. See Offer a discount with results.
Shopify tells the app about each new order within seconds of checkout, and an order counts once, however it was linked.
Turn on the attribution pixel
The attribution pixel is a backup for the rare order Shopify doesn't report to the app. It takes one click.
- Open Analytics.
- On Turn on the attribution pixel, select Turn on pixel.

The setup guide on Home has the same button. Nothing the pixel sends counts by itself: when it reports a checkout from a quiz, the app looks the order up in Shopify and counts it only if the order carries the quiz. Views, starts, completions and leads are tracked without the pixel.
Find quiz orders in Shopify
Every quiz order is tagged in Shopify with attravo-quiz, quiz-attributed and quiz- followed by the quiz's handle, such as quiz-skin-quiz. In your Shopify admin, open Orders and filter by one of these tags.
What counts as revenue
- Revenue is each order's total, in your store's currency.
- An order counts on the day it's linked, in your store's time zone.
- Orders from a quiz you later deleted still count in your totals.
- Products a shopper adds to the cart another way, such as from a product page, don't link the order to a quiz.
If an order you expect is missing, see Quiz orders don't show in Analytics.
