Set fallback products
Choose the products shoppers see when their answers match nothing, so no one leaves empty-handed.
Attravo TeamUpdated 1 min readFallback products are what a shopper sees when no product matches their answers. Two or three best sellers keep those shoppers buying instead of leaving.
Pick fallback products
- Open the quiz and select Results.
- Under Fallback products, select Pick fallback products.
- Choose two or three products in Shopify's product picker, then select Select.
- Select Save.
Remove one with the cross on its name, or select Edit fallback products to change them.
When they show
- When nothing matches a shopper's answers.
- When Shopify can't be reached for a moment. Fallback products are saved with their title, price and image, so they still show.
A fallback product shows only if it's in the products the quiz recommends from and in stock. If the quiz recommends from chosen collections or picked products, pick fallbacks from those. See Choose which products it recommends.
With no fallback products
When nothing matches and there are no fallback products, the quiz shows the first products from the products it recommends from, as many as Products to recommend. Those are rarely your best match, which is why choosing your own is worth a minute.
